Population growth has had a significant effect for the human population. As population rates increase so does the inequality that happens for women. Foe example in developing countries like in sub-Saharan Africa, women are overwhelmingly poor. Only their husbands and older sons work, but women have to stay home cleaning and cooking, fetching wood to heat their houses and whatnot.
Rapid population growth is a cause and effect on poverty and inequality. Large families of up to 10 people live in one small shack, and girls most of the time have to leave school in order to help their mothers take care of the little children and house responsibilities.
People's opinions have said that why not just eliminate gender inequality completely in these developing countries, it could be just that easy?! On one part that can be done but eliminating gender inequality can actually slow down the population growth. And this actually mean in other words that with a smaller population, women will have a greater chance to find a better education for jobs, and help develop their country faster economically.
